X-ray is commonly used to examine:

• Bones (fractures, dislocations, arthritis)
• Chest (lungs, heart, infections like pneumonia)
• Abdomen (bowel obstruction, calcifications)
• Teeth and jaw (dental X-rays)

It helps detect injuries, infections, lung conditions, and structural abnormalities.

• Usually no preparation needed
• Remove metal objects before imaging
• Inform staff if pregnant or possibly pregnant
• Follow radiology center instructions
