Rheumatoid factor (RF), Serum

This test is done to detect rheumatoid factor, an autoantibody produced by the immune system that can attack healthy tissues. It is commonly associated with rheumatoid arthritis but can also be seen in other autoimmune diseases and chronic infections. It helps support diagnosis and assess disease activity alongside other clinical findings.
