Lipase

This test is done to measure lipase, a digestive enzyme primarily produced by the pancreas that breaks down dietary fats. Elevated levels are most commonly associated with acute pancreatitis or other pancreatic disorders. It is often used alongside amylase to evaluate pancreatic function and abdominal pain.
