Gamma-glutamil transferase (GGT)

This test is done to measure GGT, an enzyme present in the liver and bile ducts. Elevated levels often indicate liver cell injury or bile duct obstruction and are particularly sensitive to alcohol-related liver damage. It is commonly used alongside other liver enzymes to evaluate liver and biliary tract health.
