Ceruloplasmin

This test is done to measure ceruloplasmin, a protein that binds and transports copper in the blood. It plays a key role in copper metabolism. Low levels may indicate Wilson’s disease, a genetic disorder causing copper accumulation, while high levels may be seen in inflammation, pregnancy, or liver disease.
