CA 15-3 (breast tumor marker)

This test is done to measure CA 15-3, a protein that can be elevated in breast cancer, particularly in advanced or metastatic disease. It is primarily used to monitor treatment response and detect recurrence rather than for screening or early diagnosis. Levels may also rise in some benign conditions.
