Accredited Facility E-report Qualified Specialists

This test is done to detect antibodies against tissue transglutaminase, an enzyme involved in the intestinal lining. Measuring both IgA and IgG improves detection, especially in patients with IgA deficiency or suspected gluten-related autoimmune disease.

  • If there are symptoms such as chronic diarrhea, bloating, or weight loss.
  • If celiac disease is suspected.
  • If there is unexplained iron deficiency or malabsorption.
  • If a healthcare provider is screening for gluten-related autoimmune disease.
  • No fasting is required.
  • Must be on a gluten-containing diet for accurate results.
  • No special preparation is usually needed.
