Fructosamine
This test is done to measure fructosamine, formed when glucose binds to blood proteins (mainly albumin). It reflects average blood glucose levels over the previous 2โ3 weeks, offering a shorter-term view than HbA1c. It is useful when HbA1c is unreliable, such as in anemia or certain hemoglobin disorders.
