  • Unexplained pain or swelling
  • Stroke or neurological symptoms
  • Cancer detection, staging, or follow-up
  • Lung or abdominal disease evaluation
  • May require fasting (especially if contrast is used)
  • Contrast CT may require kidney function test beforehand
  • Remove metal objects before scan
  • Inform healthcare provider if pregnant or allergic to contrast dye
