This test is done to identify allergic sensitivity to pollen from trees, grasses, or weeds. It helps diagnose seasonal allergies (hay fever/allergic rhinitis) and supports treatment planning and allergen avoidance strategies.

  • If seasonal allergy symptoms are present.
  • If experiencing sneezing, itchy eyes, or nasal congestion.
  • If asthma symptoms worsen during certain seasons.
  • If identifying environmental allergy triggers.
    • Fasting: Not required.
    • Antihistamines may need to be stopped before skin testing (if instructed).
    • No special preparation for blood allergy testing.
    • Follow all instructions provided by the laboratory or healthcare provider.
