Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC)

This test is done to determine how concentrated hemoglobin is inside red blood cells. Low MCHC may indicate hypochromic anemia (often due to iron deficiency), while high levels may be seen in certain red cell disorders like hereditary spherocytosis.
