  • If abnormal blood counts are detected.
  • During evaluation of anemia or infections.

  • During assessment of leukemia or hematologic disorders.
  • As part of hematology investigations.
  • No fasting is usually required.
  • A blood sample will be collected from a vein or finger prick.
