Anti-TG (anti-thyroglobulin)

This test is done to detect antibodies against thyroglobulin, a protein produced by the thyroid gland. The presence of these antibodies suggests an autoimmune response targeting the thyroid. It is commonly used in the evaluation of autoimmune thyroid diseases such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves’ disease, and in monitoring certain thyroid conditions.
