This test detects inhibitors (antibodies) against coagulation factor IX. It is mainly used to assess treatment complications in Hemophilia B and to explain reduced response to factor IX therapy.

  • If hemophilia B treatment is not effective.
  • During evaluation of unexpected bleeding episodes.
  • When factor IX inhibitor development is suspected.
  • In patients receiving factor replacement therapy.
  • As part of coagulation disorder monitoring.
  • No fasting is usually required.
  • A blood sample will be collected from a vein.
  • Inform the healthcare provider about clotting factor therapy.
