Toxoplasma antibodies (IgG, IgM)
Lab Assurances
This test is done to detect antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii. IgM antibodies suggest recent or acute infection, while IgG antibodies indicate past exposure and possible immunity. It is especially important in pregnancy and immunocompromised patients, as toxoplasmosis can cause serious complications if acquired during pregnancy or reactivated in weakened immune systems.
