Tissue-specific autoantibodies (AMA, SMA, LKM, PCA, ARA, EAT)
This test is done to detect a panel of organ-specific autoantibodies associated with autoimmune diseases affecting the liver and other tissues. It includes antimitochondrial antibodies (AMA), smooth muscle antibodies (SMA), liver-kidney microsomal antibodies (LKM), parietal cell antibodies (PCA), adrenal cortex-related antibodies (ARA), and enteric autoantibodies (EAT). These markers help identify autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, and other organ-specific autoimmune disorders.
