This test detects high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes including 16, 18, and others associated with cervical cancer risk. It helps identify persistent HPV infections that may lead to cervical dysplasia or malignancy if untreated.

  • As part of routine cervical cancer screening.
  • If abnormal Pap smear results are found.
  • During HPV infection monitoring.
  • In women at increased risk of cervical cancer.
  • As part of gynecological preventive health checks.
  • Vaginal or cervical swab sample is required.
  • Avoid sexual intercourse 24–48 hours before testing.
  • Avoid vaginal douching or intravaginal medications before test.
  • Not recommended during menstruation (prefer non-menstrual days).
