This test is done to measure CRP, a protein released into the blood in response to inflammation. Levels rise quickly during acute inflammation, infection, or tissue injury. It is used to detect and monitor inflammatory conditions, infections, autoimmune diseases, and assess overall inflammatory status in the body.

  • If there are signs of infection or inflammation (fever, pain, swelling).
