ANCA (pattern, titre, MPO, PR3)

Accredited Facility E-report Qualified Specialists

This test is done to detect and characterize ANCA, a group of autoantibodies associated with autoimmune small-vessel vasculitis. It includes identification of antibody patterns and measurement of titre, as well as specific antibodies such as myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 (PR3). These markers help differentiate types of vasculitis and support diagnosis of conditions affecting the kidneys, lungs, and other organs.

  • If there are signs of systemic vasculitis such as fatigue, fever, or weight loss.
  • If there is kidney involvement such as blood or protein in urine.
  • If there are respiratory symptoms like coughing or shortness of breath.
  • If a healthcare provider suspects autoimmune small-vessel disease.
  • No fasting is required.
  • No special preparation is usually needed.
  • Inform your healthcare provider about immunosuppressive medications.
  • Follow any instructions provided by the laboratory or healthcare provider.
